So far so good, better than I expected

So far, this unit has been great, but I have only used it twice. I am glad that it has a solid stainless steel insert rather than a cheap non-stick, like so many other appliances. Have had plenty of these items fail due to the coating coming off, no matter how much I look after them, and I'm always worried about the PFAS they use, which you could ingest or that could end up in the environment. Breville has spare seals and knobs available on their website, which is nice (not sure for how long). The only negative is that it comes with a 12-month warranty as standard, so I got an extended one. Considering the cost of the unit, and some cheaper brands have a two-year warranty, it would have been nice if this were included. Let's hope it lasts as well as my other Breville appliances.

Pretty good and easy to use

Easy to use. A little bit confused about the steam release, but after a bit, it was easy to understand. There may be some sticking and discoloiring on the pot since it's stainless steel. No handles to take the pot out easily. Overall, does the job.

    I love it!

I've barely scratched the surface of what I can do with this cooker, and I love it. It does require a little bit of care when reading the instructions, and maybe even a bit of googling to find further information, but the food that is turned out, it is amazing.

Exelent product but the instructions are quite poor, especially for older people like myself who have never had a pressure cooler before

    Great Product

We upgraded from the Fast Slow Pro - the new stainless steel bowl is much better. The increased functionality, including sous vide, is impressive. Cannot fault the product.

Q: Is the Breville Fast Slow Go a good option if you want to replace several small cooking appliances?

A: Yes. This model combines pressure cooking, slow cooking, sauté, steaming, stewing, risotto, yoghurt, rice and grain cooking, plus sous vide in one unit. It suits kitchens where bench space matters more than having separate dedicated appliances.

Q: Does the Breville Fast Slow Go let you brown ingredients before pressure or slow cooking?

A: Yes. It includes Sauté and Reduce settings, so onions, spices or meat can be cooked in the same pot before switching modes. That saves transferring food between pans and helps build flavour for stews, stocks and braised dishes.

Q: What does the 6L bowl size mean in everyday use?

A: The 6L stainless steel bowl is generally suited to family meals, batch cooking and one-pot dishes rather than single serves. In practical terms, it is a useful size for soups, stews, rice dishes or meal prep for around 4 to 6 people.

Q: Is the cooking bowl non-stick or stainless steel?

A: It uses a stainless steel cooking bowl, not a non-stick insert. Stainless steel is often preferred for searing and browning, but food can stick more than it would in a non-stick bowl if heat, oil or stirring are not managed carefully.

Q: How do the three steam release settings on the Breville Fast Slow Go differ?

A: Natural release lets pressure drop gradually, which suits stocks and larger cuts. Pulse releases steam in bursts to reduce disturbance to delicate food, while Auto Quick releases pressure faster when you want to shorten waiting time after cooking.

Q: Can the Breville Fast Slow Go make yoghurt and sous vide meals without extra appliances?

A: Yes. It has dedicated Yoghurt and Sous Vide shortcuts, so those functions are built in rather than added later. For sous vide cooking, suitable food-safe bags are still needed, and the 6L bowl size sets the maximum batch size.
