Amazing so far! But maybe a touch too much tech?
I love the size, look and different wash options of this F&P. We had a F&P for 10 years before the drum broke and I’m hoping this one lasts just as long. One thing is that you have to connect your phone with the app to the washing machine to access some information and features like the temperatures and estimated time of the cycles, and the high heat sanitizing cycles. The app is great so far, and I love that I can set it up remotely - but you do have to manually turn the machine on, select remote mode and make sure the door is closed for this to work. It has taken me a few weeks to get to know all the different settings. One down side is that you can’t select the temperatures and set times like the previous models. I have always done children’s toileting-accident soiled clothes/sheets on 60C washes before I do a longer regular wash at 40C. With this machine I can only customize it to highest 40C. Otherwise I would have to select a sanitize cycle at 70C for a very long cycle (2h). Often because of the “smart” aspect of the machine it will give you an estimated time but then often the length drops once the cycle has started. To combat this I’ve just had to do 2 longer washes and hope that the ammonia from kids wee fully washes out. If I could customize more temperatures and times within cycles I would give 5 stars. I do appreciate the fact that I can check the app to see how long it has to go! Means I don’t have to walk a flight of stairs just to check. I do just wonder if the tech updates and starts to get annoying then whether it will be less user friendly or if it won’t last as long.
